Trip to Washington and other news

We were fortunate to be able to travel to Washington the weekend of Feb 13-16th. Rodney's company paid for the trip as the main purpose was to clean out the Queen Anne house since the closing date was February 20th. It was a bittersweet moment for us as we put a lot of hard work and sweat into that house and really didn't get to enjoy it much. However, come March 1st, it will be so nice to not have that additional house payment to make. Our trip was pretty quick as we flew out to Seattle Friday and flew home Monday. Landon did fabulous on his first airplane ride. He did not fuss or cry the entire 6 hour flight. Of course he loves to nurse and be on mommy's lap so that helped. I wish he was that good on car rides!! Luckily we were able to see most of my family while we were home. Landon got to meet Aunt Brooke, Cousins Savvy, Paige, and Dami, Uncle Dustin, Grandpa John, Great Grandpas Harris and Comes, Great Grandmas Harris and Comes and Grandad Jim. He also got to see Grandma Joni again which was fun.

Landon just celebrated his 3 month old birthday this week. It is amazing how big he is getting and how fast he grows. He is a wonderful little boy and we feel blessed to have him in our lives.

It's about time!

I have been wanting to put together a family web page for a long time and am finally getting around to it now. Now that we have our little guy, I want to keep friends and family posted on our little family. So for those that are not on Facebook, I will try to keep this blog updated with photos and announcements as frequently as I can.
Landon met one of his milestones this week.......he looked at me and smiled a big smile for the first time. :) I was getting concerned that he had not done this yet. Since we have a strong family history of Autism Spectrum Disorders on my husbands side and since I work a lot with kids with autism, I think I am hyperaware of the signs of autism. Luckily though Landon has eased my concerns as he is smiling a lot at mommy and daddy now this week.

Rodney and I are going on a date night tonight! Yeah! We have not been on a date night (without the baby) since Landon was born. I think it will be important for our marriage for us to have quality time together, just the two of us, at least once a month. Luckily we have some great friends and have people in town that we trust to watch him for a few hours so that we can get out.
